Terrence Williams

Terrence Williams is president and chief operating officer for Keene Publishing Corp., the publisher of The Keene Sentinel.

He leads The Sentinel’s niche publication, digital media, circulation, sales, graphics and print shop divisions. He’s also in charge of the company’s business development, marketing and events efforts. During his time at The Sentinel, the paper has launched The Business Journal of Greater Keene, Brattleboro and Peterborough; ELF, the paper’s entertainment guide; Fiddlehead, a statewide publication focused on sustainable lifestyles; and Northeast Equestrian Life, a New England-based magazine geared toward horse owners and riders.

Numerous standalone publications and events started by Williams and his staff in the last five years include Extraordinary Women, Trendsetters, The Ruth and James Ewing Arts Awards, Sentinel 50 sports awards and, in partnership with the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship, the upcoming Radically Rural summit. The paper has also acquired Monadnock Table, a magazine focused on farm-to-table and local businesses.

Williams joined the Sentinel in 2013 following 19 years as publisher and president at Telegraph Publishing Co., based in Hudson, N.H., and publisher of The (Nashua) Telegraph. He was also responsible for McLean Communications, publisher of New Hampshire Business Review, New Hampshire Magazine, New Hampshire Home, Parenting New Hampshire and NH.com.

Williams is recipient of several awards in publishing, including Innovator of the Year from the New England Newspaper and Press Association in 2015, the same year The Sentinel won first place in New England for events staged by newspapers.

Williams is the recipient of several community and public service awards, including Nashua Telegraph 20/20 Leadership Award; The Max Silber Award from the Greater Nashua United Way; Journalist of the Year from the Nashua Police Athletic League; Ronald J. Krause Award from the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce; Citizen of the Year from the Greater Nashua Salvation Army; and the John Sias Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua.

Williams is past board chair and current board member of Monadnock United Way and a board member with the New Hampshire Center for Non-profits. He is past board member and chair of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, Great American Downtown, The Front Door Agency, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua, and was a board member for the Salvation Army of Greater Nashua and the United Way of Greater Nashua. He is a former Publisher’s Advisory Board member for Stars & Stripes newspaper in Washington, D.C.
